The tutor for the weekend next January will be Dr. Jill Allaway who will bring information about author, context and themes, and guide the discussion which follows.

The texts selected are:
“The Woodlanders”
A selection of Hardy’s poetry (copies will be provided).

Dr Jill Allaway is a freelance academic editor, proof-reader, writer and teacher who has taught English Literature at Huddersfield, Keele and Salford Universities.

The course begins late on Saturday afternoon, with a second session after dinner. There are two further sessions on Sunday morning, with a break for coffee, and the course concludes with Sunday lunch.
