Shire Hall Courthouse Museum

Shire Hall Courthouse Museum, newly refurbished, recently re-opened to the public. It was here that Thomas Hardy served as a magistrate between 1884 and 1919, as well as gathered 'novel padding' from the cases he observed unfolding here. The Hardy Society has secured a special tour of this museum, with Harriet Still, the museum manager, to look at the links between Hardy and this fascinating building.

Tickets are £6.75 for non-THS-conference delegates. To book a place or for more information please contact Mike Nixon, THS Secretary, on 01305 251501, or email: info@hardysociety.org
