An historic Coach Trip through the country of The Return of the Native in conjunction with WHOTT, the West Dorset District Council and the Thomas Hardy Society.  Sunday 12th August, 2018 at 11.45am and 2.00pm.

This historic coach trip through the country of The Return of the Native will be led by THS member Sue Clarke in conjunction with the Westcountry Historic Omnibus & Transport Trust.

Two coaches will be leaving Top-o'-Town Car Park at 11.45am and 2.00pm.
The buses will return to the carpark later in the afternoon. Tickets are available on the day from the Green Panther bus in the corner of the car park, but no fee is required.

WHOTT - Recreating the bus routes run by the former Bere Regis & District Motor Services.

  • Selection of buses and coaches from the past on show
  • Free rides to delightful double-barrelled Dorset destinations such as Compton Valence, Litton Cheney, Maiden Newton, Winterbourne Whitechurch, Milton Abbas and Bere Regis, plus other singularly named places such as Piddletrenthide, Puddletown, Charminster, Martinstown, Bovington and Poundbury.
  • Cafe and toilets on site with free car parking
  • WHOTT sales stand offering a selection of WHOTT publications, plus models, photographs, and bargain books and magazines
