In 2019 the Dorset artist Brian Graham held a solo exhibition at Slader's Yard Gallery, West Bay, focused on a bravura series of paintings relating to The Great Heath.

This illustrated lecture considers the themes, underpinning rationale and content of these paintings which deliberately reflected on, and analysed, Hardy's Egdon Heath, as a site of special artistic interest. The lecture will also present new works, as yet unseen in public, made by Graham during lock down.

Tickets: For those who are not attending the conference in its entirety - £10 (£8 for THS Members)
