Julian Fellowes is the internationally known creator of the acclaimed Downton Abbey TV series and films and more recently The Gilded Age, set in late nineteenth-century New York. As well as being a writer Lord Fellowes has had a career in acting and is deeply interested in literature. He has been the President of the Thomas Hardy Society for a number of years and we are delighted to welcome him to share a conversation with the Society's new Chairman Richard Franklin.
