A Dorset Christmas - A New Film by The Ridgeway Singers and Band
Led by Tim Laycock and Phil Humphries

We are thrilled to be able to share with you details of our special Christmas gift to audiences in Dorset; a brand new film by The Ridgeway Singers and Band, led by Tim Laycock and Phil Humphries, exploring how our ancestors celebrated Christmas through music, song and dance!
‘A Dorset Christmas’ is a brand new film, captured and edited by Pageant Productions, which includes readings, archive photographs and other visual images from all over the county, alongside works from Puddletown and Hinton St Mary manuscripts, new carols in the West Gallery tradition, and a specially created virtual performance of ‘While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night’, as performed in Martinstown church circa 1820.
This film will be available to watch from 4pm on Sunday 20 December, and can be watched anytime until midnight on Sunday 3 January.
To watch the film, people can simply register for a free e-ticket via the Artsreach website – donations to our charity are welcomed. Please find full information and booking links here: https://artsreach.co.uk/event/a-dorset-christmas
