Pianist - Robert Sword- Christmas Interludes Dorset Museum Choir conducted by Mark Chutter
A delightful event to put you in the mood for your own Christmas festivities! By kind invitation of Ken Young and Sarah Gregson.
Thomas Hardy describes the fictional Oxwell Hall as a "rambling and neglected dwelling," a "crumbling place" with a "grey, weather-worn" facade where fungi grew in the larder and cress colonized the plaster. This description is a stark contrast to the real-life Poxwell Manor, the inspiration for Oxwell Hall, which Hardy used in The Trumpet-Major.
