Two Crusted Characters

A Drawing and Painting Workshop from Life led by Gillian Lacey - Professional Artist and Tutor

Wednesday 14th July, 2.00pm

'Wessex Folk', later renamed 'A Pair of Crusted Characters'.

This is a first for the Thomas Hardy Society in responding to Hardy's work in a variety of creative ways!

The workshop will take place en plein air at Sunninghill School and will be led by Gilly Lacey, a professional artist and tutor who holds classes in Puddletown and undertakes commissions in portraiture. She is looking forward to working with the Thomas Hardy Society in this first venture into drawing and painting from life. Brian Caddy and Sue Lofthouse (each of the New Hardy Players) will act as the models, dressed in period costume.

Participants are invited to bring their own materials, although a range of materials eg: pastels, watercolours or acrylic paints, can be provided with advance notice. 

Numbers are limited to 20, and all ages and abilities are welcome.

Tickets are priced at £15 for all participants.
