Proposed Increase - A Letter from the Chair
Dear Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of The Thomas Hardy Society and hope you are enjoying your membership. We are extremely pleased you have chosen to be part of our community, and hope that you remain a valued member for many years to come.
The main purpose of this email is to inform you of a proposed change to membership subscriptions. This decision was made after a thorough review of our operating costs, which have steadily risen over the past few years. The new pricing will allow us to continue providing the high-quality service and exceptional member experience you have come to expect.
Our aim is to set new rates, to be fixed for five years

We hope you agree that even with the increased subscription costs, our membership packages remain competitive in price and remain in line with other literary associations.

Subject to approval at the AGM, the new rates will become effective from 1st January 2026.
Membership runs from the renewal date for a calendar year.
