A weekend to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Hardy's Fifth Novel.

Join the Thomas Hardy Society for an interesting and enjoyable weekend celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Hardy's novel The Hand of Ethelberta on 11th and 12th April.
On the Saturday, we are hosting a Study Day with lectures and papers from students at University of Exeter with performances from The New Hardy Players and harpist Florence Astley. in The Town Hall, The Corn Exchange, Dorchester, Dorset

On Sunday morning, there is a walk around Wareham, Hardy's Anglebury followed by an optional Sunday lunch. FREE for those taking part in the Study Day and THS members., £10 for non-members.

A Creative Writing workshop exploring the creative aspects of the novel will take place on Sunday afternoon run by THS Chair & Academic Director, Mark Chutter. FREE for those taking part in the Study Day, £5 for THS members and £10 for non-members.
