This year the Hardy Tour, which will begin at 12 noon, will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the publication of the novel Under The Greenwood Tree, and the 100th anniversary of the collection of poems Late Lyrics and Earlier. Leaving Top O’ Town Coach Park, Dorchester you will tour via the town and go to Stinsford and Kingston Maurward with its magnificent listed parkland and Manor House of Hardy’s novel Under the Greenwood Tree. Then travel on to Puddletown Weatherbury for a short stop to experience the site of the poem ‘The Children and Sir Nameless’. Return via Waterston and over the Ridgeway with fine views of ‘Casterbridge’ before returning to the Top O’ Town.

This event has been organised by Sue Clarke and Mark Chutter.

This event is free, but places are limited to 20.
