Thomas Hardy: the Novels, the Novelist and Dorchester.
Lecturer: Alban O'Brien
The talk will aim to do three things: to refer to all 14 novels, to tell Hardy’s life story and to show how the town of Dorchester played a significant part in both. The talk should appeal to lovers of Thomas Hardy and Dorchester, newcomers to his works or anyone who is just curious to know why Thomas Hardy is Dorset’s favourite son.
