Hardy Literary Landscape Walk

A Walk Across Rainbarrow and Egdon Heath
 

THS CoM member, Alban O'Brien led an enjoyable Hardy Literary Landscape Walk across Rainbarrow and Egdon Heath, finishing at Hardy's Cottage.

We enjoyed readings from Hardy's works and stories from his life there. The heather was out in splendour and the bright yellow gorse was in full bloom.Scenes reminiscent of Return of the Native were everywhere and although we met wild heathcroppers, no adders made their presence known.
