Cambridge Critical Edition of Hardy's Novels and Short Stories
Later this year, the first volumes of the critical edition of Hardy's novels and short stories will begin to appear from Cambridge University Press (CUP). Overseen by General Editor Professor Richard Nemesvari, this is a landmark in Hardy scholarship and publishing. The Cambridge Edition will provide readers with the opportunity to follow Hardy's creative process through the textual revisions he made to his fiction at all stages of publication. We're pleased to announce that CUP has agreed to give Hardy Society members a 20% discount on all its Hardy-related publications, including the volumes of the critical edition due to appear this year: Desperate Remedies, Under the Greenwood Tree, and The Woodlanders.
