A Palm Sunday THS & STAND Walk
In support of Save The Area North of Dorchester.
Sunday 5th April - 10.30am
Meet at 10.30am at the bridge at the north end of Friary Lane, Dorchester (SY694909) (West end of Frome Terrace) for a 3.5 mile walk across the water-meadows and over the downland to the North of Corchester - the Countryside which will be destroyed by the planned new town of 3,500 houses.
The walk, led by Pippa Lausen & Alistair Chisholm from STAND plus Tony Fincham from the THS will explore the devastating effects that this proposed development would have on Hardy's landscape and especially on the setting of his Casterbridge.
